SUMMARY:Barnstormers Saturday Workshop Series: Tackling Shakespeare
DESCRIPTION:Tackling Shakespeare\n\nwith Steven Sabel\n\nTackling Shakespeare will focus on various approaches to mastering Shakespearean dialogue and characterization. Participants will learn proper scansion\, script and character analysis\, and exercises that will help them to prepare for a Shakespeare performance.\n\n\n\nSteven Sabel is an award-winning theatre artist both on and off the stage. He has produced and directed more than 140 productions\, including more than 60 Shakespearean productions covering 23 titles in the Shakespeare canon. His credits include everything from classic Greek tragedies to contemporary favorites and musical theatre. As a producer/director\, he has viewed more than 5\,000 actor auditions and has worked with more than 1\,500 different actors during his career.\n\n\n\nSabel will be directing our summer 2021 production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
