DESCRIPTION:Join us on October 19th at 6:00pm to view Historic Osborne Lookout Photos: Historic Photos & Landscape Change in the Applegate Watershed This presentation will explore the historic Osborne Lookout photographs taken in the 1930s from fire lookouts across the West\, including the Applegate Watershed.\n\n\n\nThese photographs provide a glimpse into the historic landscapes of our region and the changes in vegetation that have occurred from approximately 90 years of logging\, grazing\, road construction and fire suppression. We will compare historic conditions to those in contemporary landscapes by viewing historic photographs and modern day retakes.\n\n\n\nThe presentation will focus on analyzing landscape change\, fire regimes\, vegetation patterning\, and habitat conditions in both the historical and contemporary context.\n\n\n\nDon't miss this interesting and informative presentation focused on the forests and vegetation of the Applegate Watershed and the Siskiyou Crest.
