SUMMARY:Hivve Art Hubb
DESCRIPTION:Hivve Art Hubb May 3rd First Friday Activities to Feature Fine Art\, Live Music\, Local Treats\, and a Good Time for All\n\nOnly one short month ago downtown Grants Pass's newest artist collective/gallery launched with a bang at The Hivve with a six-artist exhibition\, complete with a rockin' musical performance by local favorite Jesse Kennemer\, an assortment of excellent local wines and a vision to bring art and art-related activities to the forefront of downtown GP's footprint.\n\nNow\, the group is preparing for what they believe will be an even bigger\, better repeat\, with a May 3rd First Friday kickoff party for a month-long exhibition featuring inspiring new works by the six founding resident artists. The gala opening will also include the always entertaining gypsy jazz/blues guitarist Allen Giardinelli on stage\, a selection of tasty drinkables and munchables\, and enough community spirit to dispel any notion that Grants Pass is just a small town.\n\n"Our vision to grow Grants Pass into an art destination is coming together more quickly than we could have imagined\," explained Colene Milligan\, executive director of the Hivve Art Hubb and one of its six founding resident artists. "Our outreach to artists\, businesses\, and local non-profit groups has been very warmly received\, and our rapidly developing relationship with the City of Grants Pass has already produced tangible results\, with multiple public art projects in the works and many more planned."\n\nArtists and art lovers\, business owners\, First Friday revelers\, and community movers and shakers are all invited to enjoy the festivities upstairs at the Hivve on May 3rd from 5pm 8pm\, and the gallery exhibition through June 4th.\n\nWhat: Hivve Art Hubb First Friday\n\nWhen: Friday\, May 3rd\, 5pm 8pm\n\nWhere: Hivve Art Hubb\, 164 SE G St.\, Grants Pass. http://www.HivveArtHubb.org
