DESCRIPTION:Chuan Choy will perform his first Graduate piano recital on March 11\, 2023 at 7:30pm at the SOU Music Recital Hall.\n\n\n\nPianist Chuan Choy is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree at Southern Oregon University under the tutelage of Dr. Alexander Tutunov\, after earning his Bachelor of Music\, magna cum laude\, at the Fred Fox School of Music\, University of Arizona. His teachers include Drs. Fanya Lin\, John Milbauer\, and Ian Houghton. Choy was inspired to pursue his degree in piano performance when he was an audience member in a piano competition\, that he later became a prize winner.\n\n\n\nAs a pedagogue\, Choy strives to help students to discover the joy and nuance of playing the piano. with Chamber Choir and assists with group piano class. Upon graduation\, Choy plans to share his music experience through outreach programs for communities in need locally and abroad.\n\n\n\nThis event is free and open to the public.
