SUMMARY:YPN Barnstormers Tour
DESCRIPTION:The Young Professionals Network is excited to tour Barnstormers Theatre on Thursday\, March 21st at 11:45am-1:00pm. A light lunch will be provided. \n\n \nBarnstormers Theatre is Oregon's oldest continuously operating community theatre\, with high artistic standards and a strong volunteer base. We offer seasons of diverse plays that are accessible\, affordable\, and revelatory. Barnstormers places strong emphasis on encouraging and developing talent of all ages from our community\, taking special pride in providing programs for Josephine County youth.\n\nSince our inception in 1952\, we have been a volunteer run organization. Our board\, actors\, technicians\, directors\, designers\, hosts\, box office staff\, and all others involved in bringing theatre to our community are volunteers who contribute time and/or money to keep the arts strong in our community. Shows are selected by artistic committee members who read every show and interview each director before submitting the season proposal to the board for approval thus ensuring the quality of the plays that get put onstage. Each show in our season comes to our stage because of tremendous volunteer support. It takes an average of 25 on and off stage volunteers per show\, 10 board members\, and nearly 3\,000 volunteer hours for every single script to become a reality. We reach an average of 3\,700 unduplicated patrons each year. We also have two part-time paid employees\, the Executive Director and the Production Coordinator\, who oversee day-to-day operations.\n\n\n\nBring a business card to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a local gift card. This event is FREE to attend and Asante will provide lunch. For planning purposes\, please RSVP.\n\n\n\nTo sign up for text notifications please text GPYPN to 38316.\n\n\n\nThe Young Professionals Network is for young professionals in the target age range of 21-45ish who are looking for networking opportunities with other young professionals\, connections to the community and business leaders\, community engagement\, and professional development. The network holds monthly luncheons\, quarterly socials\, and community service projects.
