Seven British passengers of both upper and lower classes find themselves aboard a mysterious ocean liner headed for an unknown destination. Piecing together his own observations and bits of overheard conversation, one of the passengers realizes that they are all dead and are heading toward an Examiner who will determine where they will each spend the Afterlife.
