Book Signing with author Jim Lettis
Jim Lettis has long been known as a local children's author. His rhyming stories Squire and the White Dragon and How to Catch a Whopper have delighted readers young and old. Now, Lettis is pleased to present his first novel Spirit Bow the Saga of Sean O’Malley This historical novel is a wonderful story about a young man's journey across the United States in the early 1800's.
In 1819 a young Sean O'Malley, while hunting with his grandfather, accidentally shoots a young Indian. Later as he, with his father, make their way to Oregon Country, he finds himself living among Crow Indians. He earns his warrior name, Night Wind, and later intervenes trying to prevent a massacre and possible war between Indians and white immigrants.
It is a story of hope, history and justice and one that anyone who loves stories set on the backdrop of the west is sure to enjoy.
