Climate Change Panel Discussion

Climate Control Panel
with Artists: Ann Chadwick Reid, Natalie Niblack
& Author: Alan Journet
Saturday, October 7
2 – 4 pm

The Grants Pass Museum of Art is delighted to announce a compelling climate change discussion panel set for Saturday, October 7, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. This event brings together three prominent figures, artists, and activists who are passionately dedicated to raising awareness about the urgent climate crisis: Ann Chadwick Reid, Natalie Niblack, and Alan Journet.
Artist Ann Chadwick Reid: Reid's work often focuses on the impact of climate change on our environment. Through her delicate, hand-cut paper creations, she draws attention to the fragility of ecosystems, emphasizing the urgent need for environmental stewardship and action.
Artist Natalie Niblack: Niblack's art is a compelling reflection of our planet's challenges and the urgent need for environmental awareness and action. Through her work, she engages viewers in a poignant dialogue about the oil industry and the stark reminder of its impact on the most vulnerable populations.
Author Alan Journet: Alan taught biology (primarily ecology, conservation biology, environmental science, and process of science) for 30 years before retiring in 2010 and relocating to Southern Oregon.  Alan was a co-founder and now serves as co-facilitator of Southern Oregon Climate Action Now.  Alan has been involved in the development and teaching of the Master Climate Protector course since the initial discussions. He brings to the course a considerable understanding of climate science, his years of teaching science, and a history of political engagement in climate issues both federally and in Oregon.
