Effective Communication Strategies~Free Class

On Wednesday, September 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Oregon Care Partners is hosting a free, instructor-led class in Grants Pass titled “Effective Communication Strategies” that’s designed to help anyone who cares for an aging Oregonian learn more about communication techniques and how to provide effective care for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. This 2-hour class is free of charge, thanks to funding from the State of Oregon and partnerships with trusted organizations including the Alzheimer’s Association and Oregon Health Care Association. WHAT: The class is designed to help anyone who cares for an aging Oregonian understand stages of memory loss and improve verbal and nonverbal communication with those affected. A professional instructor will share real-world experience in an interactive classroom environment.

This class is free, thanks to funding by the State of Oregon.

WHO: This class is designed for anyone who cares for an aging Oregonian. Individuals that provide care for an aging family member or loved one, as well as those who work in professional caregiver settings, public safety or social work, are invited to attend this free class.
