Grants Pass launches it's Balloon & Kite Festival with a spectacular aerial show that features morning balloon flights, a 10,000 sf American Flag kite (bit.ly/megaflag), colorful giant kites in special shapes, food vendors and other kid-friendly activities, music and entertainment for all ages.
It's the Southern Oregon community event of 2017 you won’t want to miss!

Balloons launch from SOUTH MIDDLE SCHOOL. No charge to attend. All other activities take place off LOWER RIVER ROAD — 1.7 MILES PAST LINCOLN ROAD. Parking is $5 per vehicle. NO ENTRY ALLOWED from Upper River Road. All traffic will be routed to Lower River Road for entrance into the festival. Special Notes
Locations and Costs
Balloon flights are not available during the festival. Pets are prohibited, as balloons and kites can cause animals to be alarmed. This is a NON smoking event. Violators will be asked to leave. NO alcohol is permitted in premises. Golf cart shuttles are available for disabled individuals, from the parking area to the performance area. Limited seating is available. Unauthorized drones are NOT allowed in the area during balloon and kite activities.
Parking and Entrance at Lower River Road Across from Lathrop County Park - $5.00 per vehicle Balloon Tethering Rides: $10.00 per person: Tethered balloon rides are offered Saturday and Sunday, as long as wind and rain conditions allow. Gates will open at 7:30 am and tethering begins at 8:00 am. Rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
