Prescription Drug Take Back Day

GPDPS is partnering with the DEA for their annual Take Back Day. This is a safe and easy way to dispose of expired, unwanted, and unused prescription medications.
The United States has seen an increase in overdose deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic; with studies indicating a majority of abused prescription drugs come from family and friends, including from home medicine cabinets, clearing out unused medicine is essential.
You can drop of your unwanted and potentially dangerous medications at the front parking lot of the Grants Pass Police Department (726 NE 7th St). We will have employees outside ready to assist you, while adhering to local COVID-19 guidelines and regulations to maintain the safety of all participants.
We will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharps, and illegal drugs will not be accepted.
