The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program Creative Awardees Celebration

Join The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program for their Creative Awardees Celebration, highlighting the talented individuals who received grants in 2023. Taking place for over eight years now, the program is overwhelmed with joy as a result of awarding a total of thirty grants and distributing a total of $65,460.00 in funds. Because The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program supports a variety of requests, the program believes that it is essential to distinguish the impact of funding that is distributed. Personal Development Grants assist individuals with achieving some sort of personal artistic project whether it be through the purchasing of supplies, or attending classes and workshops. Education and Community Service Grants assist individuals with achieving some sort of artistic project that will benefit our community such as teaching classes and workshops, creating public art, and more.

Awardees include FolkSoul Farm, Grants Pass Museum of Art, LIFE Art Studio & Cultural Center, Rogue Gallery & Art Center, Vanessa Jo Bahr, Gabriel Barrera, Bruce Bayard, Alex Brehmer, Christian Burchard, Diane Choplin, Dara Daniel, Kaya Doolaege, Laurie Gadbois, Zion Kroll, Kristy Kun, Betty LaDuke, Abby Lazerow, Erin Linton, Scott Malbaurn, Ryan Moon, Micah Ofstedahl, Mabrie Ormes, Xavi Panneton, Nick Simons, Denise Souza Finney, Daniel Sperry, Leif Trygg, Peter Van Fleet, Carole Whitridge, and Manya Yana Orescan Campos.

The Creative Awardees Celebration will take place during June First Friday Art Walk on Friday, June 7, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 88 North Main Street in Downtown Ashland. Awardees will be present and light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided.
